Denise Pavlin migrated from the beautiful island of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the United Stated in 1987 at the age of 17.  Denise lived in Brooklyn, NY for 17 years before moving to Philadelphia, PA where she now resides with her family.  She attended New York City College of Technology, where she earned an AAS in Accounting. She then attended Baruch College and earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Accounting and a Master’s in Public Accounting form Strayer University, graduating summa cum laude - 4.0.

Denise has held many leading positions such as Full-charged Bookkeeper and Director of Finance at two different charter schools and working at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  She has been a board member of the Miss Caribbean US Beauty Pageant since 2010 and always had big visions for the organization.  The pageant became incorporated and a 501(C)3 organization in May of 2011.

Denise is very passionate about her work and working with youths in the community. She likes supporting other organizations and attends as may events as time permits. She is a stern believer of “It Takes a Village” as she tries to mentor any youth that crosses her path.

Her dreams for the organization are to share the future by preserving the cultural heritage, discovering new knowledge, and sharing the resources with the world by:

  • using visual art, music, drama, film, writing, and creative social media to amplify critical issues and to blend emotion with intellect.

  • communication compassion, linking our past to our future, and offering positive visions/dreams of what comes next
