Niquella Amelia Thyra Berry
Niquella Amelia Thyra Berry was born on the beautiful island of St. Thomas USVI. Her mother, two older sisters, and her entire family were all born in Dominica. She grew up under a Dominican household, and at a young age was fortunate enough to interact with many people from different nations. At the age of sixteen and with the support and guidance from her favorite teacher, she started a nonprofit organization called Exquisite Young Ladies in her local high
school. Exquite Young Ladies is an organization that supports, educates, and empowers young ladies of Riverdale High School. In her spare time, Niquella enjoys learning about different cultures through dance, music, and food.
She is currently employed at Bridge Street Chocolates and is a fulltime student at her local University studying political science. She has earned a spot on her college’s Dean’s List with a 3.585 GPA. Throughout her lifetime, Niquella has been distinctively recognized and awarded medals for her honesty, integrity, bravery, and kindness.
When asked about her career goal, Niquella responded in the following, “My career goal is to do all the good I can, for all the people I can, for as long as I can. Whether I am a chocolatier or a
constitutional lawyer, I plan to leave behind a legacy that will inspire others and change the world. A legacy that empowers others to maximize their potential and fulfil their purpose, and to inspire others to look beyond themselves and live a life of service to others”.
